Central Valley Homeless Veterans Assistance Program
The Central Valley Homeless Veterans Assistance Program (CVHVAP) is a nonprofit, tax exempt, 501(c)3 and 509(a)1 organization. CVHVAP seeks to eliminate homelessness in the veteran community and work its way out of business.

In addition to assisting veterans who are homeless with obtaining housing and providing help to veterans at risk of losing their housing, CVHVAP also works to assist homeless veterans and veterans-in-need with their basic living needs.

CVHVAP's ability to provide help to the local homeless veterans depends soley on the generous donations of the people, businesses, government and other programs in our community.
Initial funding for the CVHVAP was provided by the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Department of California in the amount of $3,000. Second year funding for the program came from United Way through the Salvation Army. On August 8, 1989 the program received its non-profit status.
